As General Manager, I am proud to reaffirm our strong commitment to providing a hotel environment that is welcoming, accessible, and inclusive for everyone. We believe that true hospitality means ensuring all guests can enjoy their stay with comfort, dignity, and independence, regardless of ability, age, or individual circumstances.
At Clayton Hotel Sligo, accessibility is an ongoing priority rather than a one-time achievement. We continuously work to identify and remove barriers, enhance our facilities, and improve our services so that they meet the diverse needs of our guests. This guide has been designed to provide clear and transparent information about the accessibility features available throughout our hotel, helping you plan your visit with confidence and peace of mind.

3. Arrival & Location
By Car
If you are arriving by car, our EIR Code is F91N8EF. The Clayton Hotel Sligo has its own car park with 5 accessible park spaces. Parking is Free of Charge for Guests.
By Bus
The nearest bus stop is at the entrance to the hotel on Clarion Road. This stop serves the S1 service between Cartron and Cairns, and the S2 service between Rosses Point and Strandhill.
By Train
The nearest Train station to the hotel is Sligo MacDiarmada station, which is 3 km away.
By Taxi
Freenow and Uber taxis operate in Sligo city. Furthermore, you may contact reception if you wish to book a taxi from or to the hotel.
By Luas
There is no Luas service operating in Sligo city.

Parking
There are 6 designated accessible parking spaces available on both sides of the main entrance of the hotel, as seen above. Step-free route with firm surface from car park to entrance.
There is a step-free route with a firm surface via a ramp from the parking to the entrance of the hotel.

6. Accessible Public Toilets
This has a minimum:
- Step free access a manoeuring space pf 1500mm x 1500mm an outward opening door installed with grab rails an emergency assistance alarm within the reach from the floor

Twin or Double bed options in wheelchair accessible rooms
Both double and twin bed configurations are available across wheelchair accessible bedrooms. Not all configurations may be available in every room.

There is at least one ground-floor bedroom with an en-suite bathroom
A fridge is available in at least one bedroom where food, drinks or medication can be stored.

There is at least one bathroom for a standard bedroom with a separate shower unit.
- A free stamndng shower chair is available
- An emergency assistance alarm is available in at least one wheelchair accessible bedroom or wheelchair accessible room
9. Dining & Social Spaces
Step free access to most areas
There is step-free access to most areas. This may include access by ramp or lift. As a minimum, there is step-free access to an accessible toilet and at least one food and beverage outlet.
The stairs include high contrast edges, handrails, and tactical paving at the top and bottom.
Restaurant & Bar
Both the restaurant and bar are wheel chair accessible step free outlets.
Quieter Table
There are quieter tables available in both outlets.
Table Service
Table service is offered as standard in both outlets.
Dietary Requirements
The bar and restaurant menu caters for Gluten free, lactose free and vegan options.

Facilities are available for assistance dogs. e.g. water bowls, toilet area. etc

Disability awareness or equality training is provided for staff.
There is 24- hour guest assistance available. Please contact reception
Personal or General Emergency Evacuation Plans are in place for guests with disabilities.
Free familiarisation visits are available. Guests are welcome to arrange a visit ahead of the booking or visiting to familiarise themselves or others with the venue at no additional cost.
A designated room or quiet space is available
